Canada is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit depends on your interests. Summer (June-August) offers warm weather and outdoor activities. Fall (September-October) brings spectacular colors. Winter (December-February) is perfect for snow sports, and Spring (April-May) offers fewer crowds and blooming landscapes.
Depending on your nationality, you may need a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. US citizens only need a valid passport. Check the Government of Canada's official website for the most up-to-date visa requirements based on your country of citizenship.
Canada has extensive transportation options including domestic flights, trains (VIA Rail), buses, and car rentals. In major cities, public transportation is efficient and affordable. For travel between distant cities, flying is often the most time-efficient option given Canada's vast size.
The currency is the Canadian Dollar (CAD). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout the country, and ATMs are readily available in most locations. We recommend carrying some cash for small purchases and tips.
